Engagement session on the Malibu Pier
Evan & Ethan, Thanks for a great start to such a busy weekend! Looking forward to October!
Evan & Ethan are some of the nicest people and great sports; Not only did they get up before dawn for our early AM portrait session on the Malibu Pier, but it was also the day before Ethan ran in the downpour that was the LA Marathon! The threat of rain gave us the pier all to ourselves & we took advantage of the long boardwalk with not another person in sight. Sweet!
Meghan & Ben are both UCLA grads so it was fun to go back to the campus for their engagement session. Ben even had a chance to go to the Bruins game before our session started! But even though the campus was swarming with people in blue & gold (and at least two other portrait sessions), we managed to find some private spots for some sweet pics. Check out some of our faves!

We may have mentioned before that we’ve developed a soft spot for early morning engagement sessions. The light is clear and crisp, and there are fewer pedestrians to shoot around. We had a great time wandering 3rd street with Kayla and Anthony, who will tie the knot in May.
Remember a couple of weeks ago when it was freakishly hot in LA? That’s when we shot Nicole and Vahram’s engagement session. April and I were sweaty disasters, but somehow Nicole and Vahram managed to stay beautiful. Thanks, guys, for being such good sports, despite the heat and the bugs!
These next two were shot in a parking lot! I love it when we find little sweet spots in unexpected places.
