Engagement Session in Santa Monica
It’s engagement session season! This time of year finds us spending our weekends with our soon-to-be married pairs – A good little warm up for wedding season, which starts SOON. In fact, we’ll be celebrating with Jessica and Will in just a couple of weeks when they get married in downtown Los Angeles.
We finished our year with Angelina and Jason’s super elegant celebration at The Millenium Biltmore in downtown LA. I actually worked with Angelina and Jason years ago, and was so happy that Angelina looked us up when it was time for them to choose a photographer. It was great cap on a great year!
We’re closing up shop for the holidays as I type, but we wanted to leave you with one of our favorite weddings of 2011. Jenn and Vic were married at The Smog Shoppe in September. It really was our ideal kind of day – A gorgeous, funny couple, a ceremony with laughter and happy tears, and lots of pretty details. Thank you to the darling Yolie of Twelve Events for coordinating the day (Please say we get to work together again soon, girlie!) and to The Wedding Chicks for the feature a while back.
Seven years into photographing weddings, April and I have seen a LOT of ceremonies, so it takes a bit to make our jaws drop. But Lauren and Geoff’s Baker Beach ceremony in San Francisco did just that. Completely gorgeous. And what we love most is that Lauren and Geoff did their whole wedding day THEIR way. Heartfelt, joyous ceremony, an impromptu stop for a drink at an awesome pub before the reception (just the two of them – and us, of course!), and rather than a traditional reception, one big cocktail party with amazing food.
