I’ve been wanting to photograph a session at the Middlesex Fells for awhile now and even though Kerri is a self-described city girl, I’m so happy that she and Billy were up for a little hike in the woods. The Fells were beautiful and I had a great time getting to know Kerri and Billy a little better and working up an appetite talking about food. Lindsey and I can’t wait for their wedding at the lovely Bedford Village Inn this fall!
(K&B, Did you guys see the new BBQ place opening up in Kendall Square?)
Wedding season is here! We kicked things off with Jenna and Jeff’s spring celebration at Forest Park. Jenna and Jeff love nature and wanted to highlight that throughout their day, so they chose the always breathtaking Jewel Box as the surrounding for their ceremony, followed by a foliage draped reception at the Visitor Center. Their request for portraits of the two of them was to avoid common Forest Park backdrops and focus on the more rustic bits of the park, which we were more than happy to do.

Liz and David are super fun, adventurous and up for anything – including a brisk walk around the Arnold Arboretum less than a week after we got 5 inches of snow. In April. The blooms may not have been out quite yet, but the light was lovely and these two were happy to snuggle together for warmth. Hooray for engagement portrait season!
A couple of months ago, Style Me Pretty hosted a New Year portrait session giveaway for us, and we are so happy that Teresa and Ben were the winners! We had perfect spring weather and my favorite flowering trees as the backdrop for our session in Tower Grove Park. Every time I shoot here, I discover something new about this park that I love. This time, we made friends with a baby squirrel! We’re hoping he made his way back to his mama. Never a dull moment!
Teresa and Ben, it was wonderful to meet you both and we wish you all the best for a spectacular wedding in Mexico next year!
This is the second Weber wedding we’ve photographed, the first one having been for my friends Michaela (Kassie’s sister) and Dan a couple of years ago. I remember thinking before Michaela got engaged that her parents’ house would be the perfect spot for a wedding. She and Dan ended up getting married elsewhere in St. Louis, but Kassie and HER Dan did indeed have their wedding at home and it was so dreamy. Sweetest ceremony, good food and music, taco truck at the end of the night – boom!
