“We eloped and had a TINY wedding, immediate family only. It was perfect, but meant that the photography was of the utmost importance. We wanted to make sure we could share the details of the day with our friends and family who weren’t invited. The emotions of the day needed to jump out of the photographs, they needed to be honest and heart-felt. And, since it was going to be so small and intimate, we wanted to make sure our photographers were respectful, professional, and… just…nice. They were invited to our wedding when best friends and favorite aunties weren’t. They needed to feel like family right away. And, boy, did Sweet Monday deliver! April and Lindsey are the best. I could not be happier with how the photos turned out and how it felt to work with them day of (and every day leading up to!). There is no stronger recommendation that I can make- Sweet Monday is THE BEST.”

“I am so thrilled with Sweet Monday Photography…We did both an engagement session and our wedding day with Sweet Monday and were over the moon with both. They are so professional, organized, responsible and overall just wonderful people. And so talented! …The lighting in all of them is gorgeous and they did such a great job of capturing our special moments without us even realizing they were near us. I have so many wonderful pictures of my husband and I stealing a kiss, or my dad reaching out for my hand as I walked outside or sharing a laugh with a bridesmaid. Just these perfect pieces of a memorable day. They really didn’t miss one single thing. I very, very highly recommend them. They go above and beyond, are a great value and are people you’ll be happy to share your wedding day with!”

We are local to St. Louis and New England, but our passports are always up to date and we have traveled all over for weddings. Extra costs may apply if we need to wander too far from home base.
Hello there! We’re April and Lindsey and we’re delighted to meet you. We are super lucky to have been photographing weddings together for over a decade – we met as kids living in the Midwest, moved to Los Angeles together after college and established and grew Sweet Monday while there. In 2013 we returned East to set up shop in Boston (April) and St. Louis (Lindsey). We photograph all our weddings together and have found that our clients appreciate our seamless method of working as a team and an ability for unspoken communication across a crowded room that we have been cultivating since we were 12 years old.
We both hold degrees in filmmaking and bring our passion for visual storytelling to our photography. While our style is primarily candid or documentary in nature, we frequently incorporate editorial style portraits, all with the objective of capturing the narrative of a wedding through a series of vibrant, emotional images. You can expect to see a lot of natural light filled photographs in our work, but we also love moody and dramatic images when the moment calls for it.
During our nearly 12 years in business, we’ve been fortunate to have worked with the best of the best in the wedding industry and love the collaborative nature of weddings. We’re suckers for detail – both the pretty ones like a lovely stationery suite and the practical ones like keeping the wedding day train running on schedule. We often joke with our clients that “we are type A so you don’t have to be!” What we really hope for all our couples is that they can truly relax on their wedding day and soak in all the love and joy that comes after months of hard work in planning such a big event.
We’re proud to have our work published many times and especially honored to have earned preferred vendor status with several influential and well-known blogs (you can find out more on our Accolades page).
